LUBA is a musician who has worked professionally in New York City for well over a decade. She currently lives and works in Chicago, IL where she moved from St.John, USVI where she was teaching and performing for 10 years. A graduate of the prestigious New School Jazz and Contemporary Music Program in New York City, LUBA began her early career as a jazz singer in New York clubs.

She has appeared regularly at the Zinc Bar with acclaimed guitarist Ron Affif, and has worked with such well-known jazz musicians as Garry Dial, Terre Roche, Ray Gallon (Birdland), Avishai Cohen (Deanna's), Steve Kirby (Sign of the Dove), Harry Whitaker (Smalls, Cupping Room), Neal Miner (Birdland), Michael Howell (Cupping Room), Walter Perkins, Al Harewood, Ron Jackson, Nicki Perrott, Essiet Essiet, Omer Avital, Herman Foster, Ugonna Okegwo, Freddie Bryant, and as a back-up singer for Ronda Ross.

Over the years, her repertoire has broadened to include many styles and songs from various genres  - most notably Soul, R&B, pop, as well as rock and some originals.

LUBA was born in St.Petersburg, Russia and raised in the United States. First trained as a Classical pianist, and later as a Jazz pianist as well, she comes from a family of several prominent Classical musicians.
